NeuroUrology Labs Led by Drs. Jim Hokanson and Aaron Mickle

I have resided in Milwaukee since 2014, obtaining my bachelor’s degree from Marquette University (Biophysics, ‘18) and my PhD from the Medical College of Wisconsin (Biomedical Engineering, ‘24), specializing in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. My research background has focused on the development of biotechnology and nanomaterials derived from both hard and soft tissues, including developing a methodology for turning whole tissues directly into nanoparticles. I continue to pursue research avenues using the “tissues-to-nanoparticles” approach that challenge conventional ideas of how tissues and biomaterials can be designed, transformed, and used as therapeutics.

If I’m ever not working on something, you can find me having fun adventuring with my wife, playing with my dog, spending time in the gym, or playing League of Legends.
